Measures approx. 3.25"L.  Manufactured in Birmingham, England by J. Hudson & Co.  Vintage Metroploitan police whistle.  These whistles were famously used by the London Metropolitan Police and issued to British military personnel from the Victorian era through WWII. Classic "London Bobby" whistle had a loud, piercing tone that could be heard over a mile away.  Stamp reads - "The Metropolitan", "J. Hudson & Co", "Barr St. Hockley", "Birmingham".
