The Order of the Chrysanthemum is Japan's highest order of chivalry, with two main components - the collar and the Grand Cordon. The collar is the highest possible honor and is typically reserved for the Emperor, foreign monarchs, and a few other very distinguished individuals. The Grand Cordon is the next highest level and is conferred upon members of the Imperial Family, foreign royalty, and select Japanese citizens, often including Prime Ministers and eminent military officers.
Both sides enameled. Gilt bronze. 25 medallions. Collectors copy in excellent condition. Missing hinge for badge. 3" Badge, 28" chain.
