Portuguese honorific order. It is the former order of the Knight's of Templar as it was reconstituted in Portugal.  Given in recognition of exceptional service to the country.  Grand Officer's Set, instituted in 1941.  Neck badge is silver with both sides enameled., center gilt enameled, with original suspension ring, loop and ribbon.  Breast star is partially gilt silver superimposed parts enameled, reverse has a long vertical pin.  Makers mark "Da Costa, Lisboa".  Sold separately.  Star measures 3", Cross approx. 2".
