When closed entire unit hinges together to form a single, solid, sphere locket. Holds 4 photos. Measures 4.25" total length. Locket measures 1". Sterling silver. Also known as a memory ball, or a grandmother's locket. Popular during 1880-1910. The orb is usually held shut by two curved outer wings that clip firmly together over the inner folded frames.
