c. 1900 from England.  Leather hunting saddle case with a double hinged sandwich tin and a glass flask.  James Dixon & Sons.These sets, often called saddle canteens, were designed to carry food and drink for outdoor activities and were commonly made by the Sheffield-based firm. The leather case, often with straps to attach to a saddle, holds the metal sandwich tin and flask.  Very unique item.
