Antique Victorian late 19th century. Handmade white cotton lawn and Broderie Anglaise lace Christening Gown. Beautifully made gown with narrow lace trimmed puffed sleeves and round neckline. Fastened at the back with drawstrings at the neck and adjustable waist tapes. Plain back and sides with an inserted panel at the front, featuring pin tucks and Broderie Anglais lace. The front panel has an additional Broderie Anglaise lace trim and there is a wide Broderie Anglaise border around the hem. A gorgeous gown which can be passed down through the generations. Excellent condition.
